President Trump & Miami Real Estate

Lots of people considering selling. I suggest YOU BUY real 🏡 estate (particularly in Miami)!  Here are just a few reasons:

(1). Especially if currencies & stocks slide, gold & dirt remain a save bet.

(2). The U.S. Federal Reserve will keep the interest rates the same in such turbulent times.
(3). Last but not least, Miami market is the Nation’s top buyers market (ask me for data). At least 2 segments of the Miami market are down in double digits. It is A GREAT TIME TO BUY!

Bonus reason for friends abroad: dollar is lower than it has been for months. Now, your ruble, real & peso buys you more house & other assets. Despite the initial shock, historically, American policy, especially foreign-policy, remains pretty constant. Just a matter of time before other the behaviors & leaders in other countries remind the world the U.S. is still the INVESTMENT safest heaven. Everyone will return to invest here!
Why won’t YOU beat the rush?

Hurricane Matthew- October 2016

It’s Hurricane Season, and Hurricane Matthew is a perfect example of the anxiety news of a hurricane can bring. Because we  live in South Florida, we are familiar with that omnipresent worry of the weather. Though we are not in control, when a hurricane strikes, we can control what we do in order to protect our home. Mega Luxe Homes knows how much value your precious home has and we want to share with you advice on how  to protect it. We also want you to be aware of different ways that you can keep your family safe.

Click here for a list for: Broward County hurricane shelters

Steps that can be taken to fortify your home include:

  • Removing damaged trees and limbs to prevent flying debris
  • Securing loose rain gutters and downspouts and clearing any clogged areas or debris to prevent water damage to your property.
  • Reducing property damage by retrofitting to secure and reinforce the roof, windows and doors, including the garage doors.
  • Purchasing a portable generator or installing a generator for use during power outages. Remember to keep generators and other alternate power/heat sources outside, at least 20 feet away from windows and doors and protected from moisture; and NEVER try to power the house wiring by plugging a generator into a wall outlet.
  • Considering to build a FEMA safe room or ICC (International Code Council) 500 storm shelter designed for protection from high-winds and in locations above flooding levels.
  • Replacing gravel with shredded bark. When it’s time to refresh your gravel paths or driveway , consider replacing gravel with bark, because windblown gravel can damage structures.
  • Caulking around doors and windows. Wind-driven rain can cause moisture damage in your home, even when the structure remains intact.
  • Protecting attached structures. Make sure carports, porches and decks, entry canopies, and sheds are sound and firmly attached.
  • Putting head and foot bolts on entry doors. Give doors extra protection against the wind by installing bolts at the top and bottom. See the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s website for more information.

If you are ordered to leave your home, it is important to know your local hurricane evacuation route(s). You can find this information at your local emergency management agency. Also,  putting together a disaster supply kit, which includes cash, copies of your critical information, and first aide supplies is another safety measure you can take, along with having a family emergency communication plan.

Let’s stay prepared and protect your priceless loved ones and valuable property!
